Leadership
I have had opportunities to be a part of several amazing organizations in which I have held leadership positions. I have selected some of my collegiate and community experiences to share. Not only have I been able to grow as a student and a professional, I have also used these positions to serve my community and fellow students.
Les Voyageurs
Les Voyageurs are student ambassadors for the College of Agriculture. We act as members of the senior college's recruitment team, taking one-on-one tours with prospective students and their families, working admission events such as LSU Kickoff, and overall advocating for LSU Agriculture and the agricultural industry.
College Aggies
College Aggies Online is a national competition sponsored by the Animal Agriculture Alliance (AAA). The competition is centered around advocating for and promoting education on the agricultural industry. Les Voyageurs compete each year in the team category, hosting various events to earn points. Our events range from teaching LSU students about the agriculture industry through tabling on campus to touring the state capitol. As Vice President Fall 2024-Spring 2025, my main responsibility was to facilitate our participation in the competition. During the events I ensured there was proper documentation of everything we did, including photos and noting the amount of people we engaged with each event. We earned 1st place in the team category while I was Vice President, and I got to attend AAA's national conference in Washington DC to accept our award.

Public Speaking
Our most prominent responsibility as Les Voyageurs is giving high school presentations. We travel to high school ag classes, as well as 4H and FFA chapters, within Louisiana to promote what the senior college has to offer, including majors and support systems. The last three years as a Les Voyageur has pushed me to hone my public speaking skills. This semester I was even granted the opportunity to give our senior college presentation at an LSU Kickoff event, which is an admissions event where prospective high school students attend tours and information sessions on campus. Typically one of our recruitment staff members gives this presentation, but they were out of town for another recruiting event and entrusted me with this responsibility.
